​When the builder added the new roof to the house he was required to put 4 nails per shingle application. This is what the shingle manufacturers require to get the warranty and get 110 MPH wind rating. UNLESS you live 30 miles from the ocean or the pitch is a 10/12 or 12/12 or steeper (code is 6 nails). But at ROOF 1 CONSTRUCTION.....we give you a better roof and just add 6 nails per shingle and that makes the roof withstand UP to 135 MPH winds.We just like to do it right the first time.
